Professional Background: Prior to starting her own business Pam held communication positions with a state mental health facility, a TV station, and state and national associations. She also was an advertising agency copywriter and information officer for a state agency. Pam founded P.S. Writes in 1979 as an advertising and communications firm catering to small business and association/organization clients.

Personal Background: Pam's a Davenport, Iowa, native who graduated from Drake University with a journalism degree. She also completed the Institute of Association Management held at Notre Dame University. In 2009, Pam was honored with the Vantus Bank/NAWBO-CI Women Business Owner of the Year Award for longtime service for NAWBO, mentoring of women and community involvement. In1993, Pam was recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration's Women in Business Advocate of the Year Award in Iowa and a President's Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners. Pam is past president and a communications team member for NAWBO-CI. She's an active patient care and administrative volunteer with HCI Care Services (formerly Hospice of Central Iowa).
